Melissa Matlock

Melissa is the owner of Prairie View Event Hall. She lives in Sioux Falls, close to Tea with her husband and her little boy. She is originally from Mitchell, SD. Being close to home and living in SD is close to her heart.

Melissa loves working weddings because it gives her the opportunity to make every event special and unique.

Melissa is a certified wedding planner, as well as certified in event management. Her services are available to our clients for a fee. 

Shelly Nordtvedt

I live in Harrisburg, SD with my husband and dog Odie. I have three amazing grandchildren that are my world. You can often find me on bike trails in the summer. I have a fulltime job during the week and work at Prairie View on weekends. I started at Prairie View when the owner Melissa took over. I enjoy helping families get ready for their big day and make sure they have what they need at the event hall. Working for Melissa has been exciting and fun.

Naomi Juhl

I'm from Sioux Falls currently live with my husband and our dog, Zelda. I love going to movies (pre-covid) and thoroughly enjoy a good Starbucks/Target browsing session. I love spending time with my good friends and family. I started at Prairie View after we had our reception at the Venue in August because I loved the wedding industry vibe. With help from my mom and cousin, we planned my entire wedding ourselves and it was a beautiful day and I can't wait to help other brides achieve their dream wedding

I started at Prairie View to help out my good friend and love it. I love asking people how they are on their special day. Don’t be surprised if you see me dancing behind the bar with some of my co-workers

I live in Cambridge, MN with my husband, daughter, 3 cats, and a crazy husky puppy. I’m obsessed with coffee, anything glittery, and watch Gilmore Girls on a constant loop. Combining my love of event planning with my background in marketing and social media brought me to Prairie View in 2019 and I couldn’t be happier being part of this amazing team
